"I met another famous person"
"Mommy (yes, all my children still call me {MOMMY} which I HOPE never stops!)...I met another famous person swimming with my friend". This is the 2nd star sighting while enjoying a day of play. This time it was David Henry from Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place :) He has tattoos! (she said very surprised & disgusted!) However...it did not stop her from getting an autograph & a picture. Now...I do get BIG time credit since I suggested she take her YEARBOOK to school. No, I don't want to carry it around. The other girls got their yearbooks signed :)
Sorry..the picture is dark (taking by a cell phone) Cheyanne, Kai, McKenna, Winter & David. These girls have been friends since kindergarten. Last day of 6th grade...Lawrence Welk Resort.

6th Grade Band
Cheyanne had her 2nd band concert last night. She learned to play the clarinet in school this year. We were lucky that our cousin Kayla played the clarinet in high school, so she let Cheyanne borrow it for the year. After choosing the clarinet, she found out that both of her grandmas played that instrument in high school! Grandma Lora tried it out, but found she was a little rusty after all these years :)
Grandma Robinson played in a quartet with some polygymst girls (who knew??? I sure didn't.) I guess playing the clarinet is in her genes.
The band played about a dozen arrangements. The sections each played a piece. The clarinet kids played an "Irish Folk Dance". Perfect for our little Irish dancer. A big highlight of the night...Kailani's mom, Cristee, was drawn as the {GUEST} conductor for Star Wars. So funny!
Cheyanne auditioned for Symphonic Band for next year. It is the advanced band, with mostly 8th graders. She will be one of the few 7th graders. She is very excited!! She was only challenged once this year for her 2nd chair & she won out. She never did challenge the 1st chair. We'll see if she gets a little more aggressive next year for placement. Got to keep things exciting in band, I guess ;)

Popcorn POPPING...Healthy, Cheap & FAST!
I have NOT purchased store "microwave popcorn" in over 2 years. There is so much junk (if you can't pronounce the ingredients on the package, then maybe you shouldn't consume it) in the ingredients.
I learned this from Jillian Michael's (Biggest Loser Trainer) when she had her SHOW on LA's radio station KFI640 {BOO HOO} the show was cancelled but :( I learned so many WONDERFUL workout tips, food tips, etc. etc. from her radio show. She is amazing!! LOVE her! NBC makes her look nasty, but she knows her stuff when it comes to weight loss.
**This microwave popcorn was one of her healthy eating tips.**
1 plain brown paper BAG
1/4 c. popcorn kernels
Place kernels in bag. Fold top over. I hit my "Popcorn" button on my microwave. Or hit 2 min 30 sec. & listen for the pops to slow down. Test out...it may take a time or 2. Voile!
You can spray with "I can't believe it's not butter" for super low cal. Real butter for a real treat, or just salt. I always have to add a small handful of MnM's :). My friend Kim likes Hot Tamales.
Is it already JUNE?
May & June are the CLOGGING months! We have Nationals at Lagoon, Talent Shows at School & our end of the year SHOWCASE at the Avo Playhouse. It is a lot of extra hours on my part getting ready for Team Photos, Ticket Sales, Show program, Trophies, Rehearsals, Registration for next session, OH (sigh) the list goes on and on...it's such a good feeling at the end of the SHOW to finally hit summertime!
It has been wonderful taking the year off! After 12 years of teaching, I needed a break. Luckily I have 2 awesome students that took over all the teaching. I think it has been a great year of learning for them as well. They have been reliable, patient & fun for the kids. I am excited to get back into the studio next year & dance away with my amazing cloggers!
Cheyanne performed with 3 other teammates at Hannalei Talent Show...Jenna Hervey, Casey Frame, Taryn Hervey & Chey.
Jace & his duet partner, Ryan Rice... [SOUL MAN]

Petite Jardin
We accomplished quite a bit of work on Saturday. And when I say "WE" I really mean Winston. I have finally convinced him that it is TIME to PLEASE (very lovingly) get busy on some landscaping. I CAN'T stand the wood chips & dirt any longer! After 3 years of living in this beautiful home [FINALLY] there is LIFE growing in my back yard. It is a PETITE JARDIN! Winston & Landon built up the box then got the dirt & yummy fertilizer mixed in. Landon just HAD to remind me that my hands were "TOUCHING POOP". Yeah...I know. He is so excited about these little plants that he wanted to water them 3 times today. Already he is keeping watch, just like a good gardener would do. He has discovered that ants have found this beautiful little garden. AHHHH! Guess we have to take care of that tomorrow. Landon was also quite concerned about the gloomy "May Gray" Day that we had. "Where is the sun for your plants?" & "No, mommy, the bunnies did not find the garden last night". What a good helper I have.
We planted 1 plant each....
Roma Tomato
Beef steak Tomato
Early Girl Tomato
Cherry Tomato
Cucumber
Zucchini
Yellow Squash
Cantalope
Watermelon
Pumpkin
Basil
Marigold
Winston also built a super cool gate between our house & Aleta's. Now that she has scouts at her house every Monday--we need a barrior. Actually we will be fencing in the entire yard, so the gate was an easy place to start. Xander will be on the move, sooner that I would like. We will also be pouring a concrete patio & putting in some grass until we are ready for the pool (maybe a few years down the road)
