Grandma Lora

In May, I was trying to find some pictures of Grandma Lora to post for Mother's day. The most recent photo I had with her was from JUNE 2009!! Really? We let a whole year go by & didn't take any pictures with her? Sad. We can make all kinds of excuses...taking care of Great-Grandma, broken wrist, away in Oregon {Blah Blah Blah} So I marched myself & the younger boys up to Lora's & we snapped a few!! I even helped her book tickets to Hawaii. 

Petite Jardin

We accomplished quite a bit of work on Saturday. And when I say "WE" I really mean Winston. I have finally convinced him that it is TIME to PLEASE (very lovingly) get busy on some landscaping. I CAN'T stand the wood chips & dirt any longer! After 3 years of living in this beautiful home [FINALLY] there is LIFE growing in my back yard. It is a PETITE JARDIN! Winston & Landon built up the box then got the dirt & yummy fertilizer mixed in. Landon just HAD to remind me that my hands were "TOUCHING POOP". Yeah...I know. He is so excited about these little plants that he wanted to water them 3 times today. Already he is keeping watch, just like a good gardener would do. He has discovered that ants have found this beautiful little garden. AHHHH! Guess we have to take care of that tomorrow. Landon was also quite concerned about the gloomy "May Gray" Day that we had. "Where is the sun for your plants?" & "No, mommy, the bunnies did not find the garden last night". What a good helper I have.

Winston also built a super cool gate between our house & Aleta's. Now that she has scouts at her house every Monday--we need a barrior. Actually we will be fencing in the entire yard, so the gate was an easy place to start. Xander will be on the move, sooner that I would like. We will also be pouring a concrete patio & putting in some grass until we are ready for the pool (maybe a few years down the road)

Landon..."I finally lost my tooth!" in Paragonah.

Landon is our sweet kinder kid. He has watched so many of his classmates loose teeth during the year. One of the girls in his class lost a tooth at school & she got sent to the office for a {Treasure Chest}. Oh, how he wanted one too! Well, he still had a mouth full before we left on spring break. While in Utah, he spent 2 nights at his {Great-Grandparents} house all by himself-What a treat! Winston was at his {Adventure Race} in Moab & the rest of us at clogging competition in St. George.

Grandma called a few days before he arrived to get a menu of items he would eat. She wasn't going to fix anything he wouldn't eat (heaven forbid). This was list...bananas, Mac-N-Cheese & hotdogs. You know all, the healthy stuff : )

Saturday, he knocked it loose eating a carrot (not on the list). Sunday morning for {BREAKFAST} he couldn't eat because it was soooo loose. So for an [HOUR] grandma & grandpa watched him work that sucker out! Grandpa's finger were too big to get a good grip. And that method of tying a string to it & slamming the door that HE always threatened us with...{EMPTY THREAT}! He was so sweet helping Landon, encouraging him along. Landon pulled it out [ALL BY HIMSELF]! What a boy! (This is also the same kid that potty trained himself while I was away at clogging camp. Lucky me.)

We arrived in Paragonah Sunday afternoon.

He ran out to us so fast...
